Hip Hop is a vibrant form of dance that combines a variety of freestyle movements to create a cultural piece of art. Through its three main styles of popping, locking, and breaking, hip-hop dance has evolved into one of the most popular and influential styles of dance. Hip Hop is displayed in shows such as World Of Dance, So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Best Dance Crew. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities. The hip-hop culture is influenced by the following four elements: disc jockeys (DJs), graffiti (art), MCs (rappers), and B-boys and B-girls (dancers).
